This is Tech Helper, your personalized Technical Support Guide for your EtherFast Cable/DSL Router.

Use Tech Helper to configure your Router's Internet access. Click on the links for each step to bring up directions to solve your problem. Make sure that you check every possibility.

To troubleshoot successfully, you must follow these directions in order.



  1. Check to see that your cable or DSL modem Power LED has lit up. Click here for directions.

  2. Check your Router's Power LED to see that your Router is powered up properly. Click here for directions.

  3. Check your Router's WAN Link LED for a solid green light on its front panel. If the WAN Link LED is not lit up, click here for directions.

  4. Check to see that your Router's LAN Link LEDs for each of your PCs has a solid green light on. If you do not see a LAN Link LED lit up for each of your PCs, click here for directions.

  5. Check to see that your PC's network adapter is working properly. Do this for each of your PCs. Click here for directions.

  6. Check to see that you are using the right kind of cable between your PCs and your Router. Click here for directions.

  7. When all of your power sources and Link LEDs are confirmed on, click here to test your Internet access.
