Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice size and feature set, but poor range. I recently switched internet service providers. I switched to cable. The company I switched to provided the cable modem only, the WIFI router was my responsibility. On the advice of a friend, I purchase the Linksys EA2700. The setup was easy and it has a nice set of features, but the range is poor. With my old ISP, I used a 2Wire Wireless DSL, it had at least twice the range of this EA2700. I had a good strong WIFI signal almost everywhere on my property inside and outside. My house is only 2600 square feet and there are rooms in the house that only get a week signal. I'm totally disappointed in the range. If you're planning on buying a Smart WiFi router, don't buy this model. Opt for one of the more expensive models. I'll be buying a range extender soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Open the box, insert cdrom, hook it up, enjoy. I have dealt with electronic devices before stereo and way before color TV. (and yes you had to get up off the couch walk across the room and manually change channels)This N600 is probably the simplist device I have ever installed. It replace an older wireless n router that never would reconize my wireless printer. This one not only set up my printer it did so before I could plug in the usb cable as directed by the printer instructions. I also added a smart tv, a smart 3d blue-ray player, a laptop, a Kindle FireHd another older blue-ray player, a soundbar and a Wii. All within 30 minutes. I cannot give a fair evaluation as this scale goes from 1 to 5 stars instead of 1 to 10 stars. No problem with the screen sharing for the laptop and the tv. Also no problems at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great all around home router needed to replace a very very old router at home, and i already have a linksys RE2000 extender, so i thought i'd get a linksys router as well, and this one was priced right. setup is very easy, and allows you to setup or not setup really anything you'd need for a home network. router performs very well, speed is good, i get full down/up from my isp with this router. the wireless performance is great, and works excellent with my current RE2000 setup, all my devices connect and get great signal throughout my house. the router has been running flawlessly since i installed it a few weeks ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Like Taking Candy From a Baby" "1 - 2 - 3, it's so easy (thanks Len) - like the song, I found the Linksys N600 so easy to set up and create my encrypted home network! Having a older Linksys router that I upgraded with the N600, I already knew that the setup would be "so easy", but the speed now - WOW! 2 home, 2 W@H business computers on it along with a WIFI external drive, Wi, and more - no problem! Thx Linksys!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very basic router, dumbed down GUI Not one of linksys' claims to fame. While it does send and receive at 2.4 and 5 Ghz , with gigabit ports and offers static leases - there is not much else positive that can be said. Only the latest firmware release is useable. The previous are too buggy so be sure to upgrade. Settings are limited to only those you can do from their dumbed down gui. 1 QoS level is possible, more like a priority rather than QoS. No usage counter, inbound logging does not work, no settings for UDP or TCP timeout, no resource reports beyond simple dhcp dump screen. Rebooting router causes it to forget that you disabled the 2.4 Ghz radio so you can do it again and again. A very basic unit that is worthwhile only if you can get it for a rock bottom price and require no settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up I replaced an older router with this one and I was very pleased with how simple it is to set up. Just run the DVD and set it up as you would most other types of software. I like it that it sets up so I just need an ID and password like other software. I also like that it is small and takes up minimal space. It seems to work well. No problems so far.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not reach outside house Very good for inside the house, but if you want to use it on your deck or patio, look elsewhere. When the house door is open the wireless is spotty outside (yet still within the range of the equipment) and when the house door is closed, forget it! I recommend if you are only using it inside, otherwise, I do not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang for your $$ This is a great router for multi- purpose needs. Quick response time as well as out-of-the-box ready for a fast set up. Took me only 20 minutes and I was up and running! Highly recommend the upgrade of this model from Linksys lower priced ones. Love the "guest" log on feature!

*Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual performance can vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, range and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions.
