Reviews
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Hardware Setup with two 4TB drives in RAID1. Four Linksys cameras connected via Linksys switches. This arrangement allows continuous recording for about thirty days on all four cameras in HD. Unit has quality metal construction. Variable speed fan runs cool and quiet. GUI provides good info like system temp and camera status... I would have rated higher but... Needs modern firmware. GUI needs more browser support, only works with IE. Apparently records with proprietary AVI codec that can only be used with NVR GUI. Motion sensing is unreliable to the point of being useless (this may be a camera issue). I can recommend this product only when these issues are resolved.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great hardware, so sorry for the poor firmware The hardware is great, a great potential. But poor recognize of IP (not Linksys) camera's. To get recordings made of (outside) movements is a hack of a job. No playback of these recordings with this poor intern software. The H264 codec can only be played with Linksys software. So make it a great NVR soon Linksys, with a updated firmware. Recommended with only a new firmware!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from VERY BAD PRODUCT! Very bad software, camera record function not working properly. Not worth the money. I think Linksys or Belkin now, just not maintaining the device anymore. Selling it overpriced to earn money. DO SOMETHING!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unusable products - Could have been good. This NVR and each of the cameras from the Linksys SMB series have the same flaws that make them unusable (I have six cameras from three models in total plus the NVR LNR0208C and a PoE switch, all Linkys SMB products). Basically the hardware is good but the software integration is unacceptable: The NVR firmware has not been updated since end 2014, and the complains from users are numerous. All issues are traced in the Linksys Community Support website at http://community.linksys.com/t5/Linksys-Community/ct-p/English. Please make your own opinion on the product by visiting the page above before buying any Linksys product. I reckon that the range of Linksys SMB products was developped by Linksys when it was a part of Cisco and when it was sold to Belkin they lost all the knowhow, leaving the range unfinished. The hardware is good (e.g., it runs cool while my Netgear NAS is much warmer), but the software integration is unacceptable for the price they request. This could be solved easily by developing solid software, but they beat around the bush every time you contact them (see the forum to find examples of my statement). I will gladly change my review when they provide a solution (i.e., new firmware, an iOS/android App, usability from non-IE browsers, working motion detection, working PTZ, stability, etc...). In the meantime, I have spent thousands of dollars for nothing: I can only let it record continuously, and even that is not working anymore lately.
