Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless Don’t waste any time or money with this Completely worthless. I’ve spent two days trying to get this thing to do anything. No drivers are included. You have to have your computer hooked to Internet in order to download the driver, which is the whole reason I purchased this is to connect to the Wi-Fi to have Internet on this computer. The tech support line is completely worthless. The lady on the second phone call Was extremely rude And my call was conveniently disconnected. It doesn’t matter which USB port I put this in, it does nothing . If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have now wasted $15 in gas and I’m gonna waste another $15 in gas to return it not to mention any of my time..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Adapter needs internet to work You buy a wifi adapter for the sole purpose of acquiring wifi. They don’t mention anywhere that to actually activate the adapter you need to first have an established internet connection. That’s the most backwards thing I’ve ever heard. Have had plenty of adapters in the day that have never needed internet prior to connecting to internet to function. Disappointed and have to return to find a different product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slow and unreliable Bought this around eight months ago and all I can really say is I regret it. The card is slow and only has a decent connection half the time. I live with room mates who also use wifi cards (Not linksys) and they have absolutely no issue getting a connection and staying connected. Disappointed I wasted money on this. Save yourself the trouble and get something that will actually work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend. Just bought this a month ago, it worked well for a week and then all of a sudden would randomly start dropping the internet on me. My connection is either incredible or not at all so its not a signal issue from my end. I've been forced to move on to a different device for internet, this was $50 thrown down the drain. Unfortunate

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It worked, but was unacceptably inconsistent. I have had this adapter for probably about two years now. The adapter is completely fine when it works, but has always had a tendency to stop working randomly. This is an extremely annoying issue and I have to take out and plug the adapter back in when this happens. Drivers are updated, as far as I know. This issue does not happen all the time, but happens enough that it is something that makes me not want to use this product anymore. I have been disappointed with this product and intend to seek a more consistent and reliable alternative for internet connection to my desktop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from did not work at all, extremely outdated The installation process was not clear at all and required me to use a third party device as the pc that I wanted to use this product on does not have a means of connecting to ethernet where I am. Ended up not even working in the end. Genuinely confused as to how this has 4.5 stars.

Just bought the WiFi 5 USB adapter & installed it on 2 Windows10 machines. When I try to connect to my phone's hotspot, I get, "Can't connect to this network." Disabling the native wi-fi adapters doesn't help. Does this not work with hotspots? Any fixes?

Asked by: Tony2
Hi, Tony2. The Linksys WUSB6300 is not yet designed to work with mobile hotspots. You would need to connect it on either the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.

I just bought 3 of these because your website indicates it works for Win7 and up. However, once received I cannot download drivers as it is ver2. Will the Win8 drivers work on a Win7 system or will you please add compatible drivers? Thank you.

Asked by: Frustrated
Hi! Only the WUSB6300 version 1 is compatible with Windows 7. The version 2 is only compatible with the following OS: Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and OS X 10.11 to OS X 10.15. Moreover, Windows 8 drivers will not work on a Windows 7 computer. You may need to return the adapters to the place of purchase instead.

Do you make a product compatible with Windows 7? The current model (v2) of the WUSB6300 no longer works with this version of Windows.

where is the routers 8 digit pin located

Asked by: susan
Hi, Susan. The WUSB6300 is an adapter, not a router. But, if you have a Linksys router, the WPS PIN is usually at the bottom of the device together with the Serial Number and MAC Address.
