The Firmware Upgrade feature on the NAS200 offers bug fixes and various functionality updates. Do the following procedure to upgrade your NAS200’s firmware:
Open your web browser.
In the Address field, enter the IP address of your Network Access Storage (NAS) then press [Enter].
NOTE: If you do not know the IP address of your NAS, run the Setup Wizard. Click the Click Here to Start button then click Advanced Setup. Select the appropriate Network Storage System, and its IP address will be displayed.
Enter your NAS200’s User Name and Password. Click OK to continue.
On the Network Access Storage web-based setup page, click on Administration Login.
On the Administration menu, click on Firmware Upgrade.
On the Firmware Upgrade tab, take note of your Current Firmware Version then click Check for Upgrade.
NOTE: Clicking on the Check for Upgrade button will launch a different tab on your web browser and will redirect you to the Linksys Support website.
Click on Support > Linksys.
Enter "NAS200" on the Enter model or keyword field.
Click on Downloads.
Select the hardware version of your NAS and click on Download to download the latest firmware.
NOTE: If the current firmware version you have on your NAS200 is the same as the one available on the Downloads page, you don’t need to upgrade your NAS.
Click on Save and choose Desktop location to easily locate the file.
After downloading the latest firmware, you are now ready to upgrade the firmware of your NAS200. Do Steps 1-5 above and proceed with the following:
Click on the Browse… button.
Choose the .bin file you recently downloaded to your Desktop.
Click on the Start Upgrade button.
On the pop-up window, click OK to proceed with the upgrade process.
NOTE: Wait for the progress bar to finish loading until 100%.
Once the Upgrade is successful window appears, click on Continue.
