Accessing the web-based setup page of the Linksys WUMC710 media connector

Accessing the web-based setup page of the Linksys WUMC710 Wireless-AC Wi-Fi 5GHz Universal Media Connector Bridge with 4-Port Switch allows you to view its settings and current configuration.  There are two (2) ways to do this:

Using the media connector's default static IP address
Using the media connector's IP address assigned by the router

Using the media connector's default static IP address

You can use the WUMC710 media connector’s default static IP address if it is connected directly to a computer.  To do this, follow the steps below:

Step 1:
Power ON the WUMC710 media connector and connect it to your computer using an Ethernet cable.

Step 2:
Assign a static IP address on your computer to 10.100.1.3.  For instructions on how to assign a static IP address on a wired computer, click here.

Step 3:
Open a web browser and enter "10.100.1.1" in the Address bar.  This is the default IP address of the WUMC710.

Step 4:
When the authentication window appears, leave the User Name field blank and enter the media connector's default password which is "admin".  Click OK.

NOTE:  If the password request screen does not appear, wait for two (2) minutes and try again.

Using the media connector's IP address assigned by the router

To access the WUMC710 web-based setup page using its assigned IP address, you will need to determine it from the DHCP client table of the router.  The WUMC710 media connector should already be set up and connected to the router.  To access the media connector’s web-based setup page, follow these steps:

Step 1:
Connect the computer to the router either wired or wirelessly.

Step 2:
Access the web-based setup page of your router.  Open a web browser and enter "192.168.1.1" in the Address bar.  Log in by entering the router's administrator user name and password.

NOTE:  The default administrator password of your router is admin and the User Name field is left blank.  To learn how to access your router’s web-based setup page, click here.  For instructions to access the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi web-based interface, click here.
