Adding a child node to your Linksys Intelligent Mesh system using an Android mobile device

If you have an existing mesh system and would like to add a child node using an Androidâ„¢ mobile device, follow the instructions below.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that the child node you are about to set up is in its factory state.
  • DO NOT reset the parent node.
  • Make sure that the parent node is within the range to the child node you will set up.
  • If the child node has been previously set up, it needs to be reset to its factory settings.

NOTE:  Before resetting a previously set up child node, make sure that it completely boots up showing a purple or blue light.  Attempting to factory reset a node immediately after power cycling, when the light is not yet purple or blue, will not work.  For more information, click here.
