DO NOT try to set up the parent node with the Linksys app while the node is going through the ACS setup because the Linksys app will not detect the node. Wait until the node self-configures and the status light is solid blue. After this, you can then add your new network to your Linksys cloud account through the Linksys app using an
Android or iOS device.
2. Can I manually upgrade the firmware on the node? No. The node only supports firmware from Gigaclear which is automatically installed.
3. Can I add non-Gigaclear child nodes? They will work but will not support Gigaclear firmware and may not benefit from some ISP firmware features. Contact Gigaclear for more information.
4. Can I use the retail Linksys MX5500 firmware to update the Linksys SPNMX55GC-UK?No. If you attempt to manually update the node using the retail Linksys MX5500 firmware, it will reject the update.
