Disabling the WiFi adapter of your Windows computer

If your computer comes with a built-in WiFi adapter but you need to use a new external WiFi adapter, you have to disable your built-in WiFi adapter first to prevent conflicts on your network connection. This article will show you how to disable the WiFi adapter on your Windows® computer.
 

1. Right-click the Windows sf132784-001_en_v4.png icon then select Device Manager.

2. Click on Network adapters.

3. Right-click on the model number of your built-in WiFi adapter. Then click Disable device.

Your WiFi adapter should now be disabled.
