Devices connected to the media connector are unable to communicate with the router

The Linksys Wireless-AC Wi-Fi 5GHz Universal Media Connector Bridge with 4-Port Switch (WUMC710) depends on a router or an access point to receive network and Internet connection.  There are instances when the devices connected to your media connector are unable to communicate with the router.

This article will help you resolve the connectivity issue of your media connector.

NOTE:  Powercycle the router and your media connector first and see if it solves the problem.  If the issue persists, follow the troubleshooting steps below:

Step 1:
Open the media connector’s web-based setup page.  For instructions, click here.

Step 2:
Click on the Wireless tab then select Basic Wireless Settings and tick the Manual radio button.

Step 3:
Make sure that the Network Name (SSID), Security Mode, Encryption and Passphrase match the router's wireless settings.

NOTE:  Your passphrase or security key is case-sensitive.

QUICK TIP:  Make sure that all devices are on the same network and are using compatible IP addresses.
