Re-installing the driver of the Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter v4

Uninstalling the Previous Driver

Step 1:
Click Start, Program Files or All Programs and look for Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter and select Uninstall.


Step 2:
Wait for the Install Shield Wizard to complete before re-installing the drivers.

Re-Installing the Driver

NOTE:  Before re-installing the driver, turn off your computer and unplug the Linksys WMP54G.



Step 1:
Insert the Linksys Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive.


Step 2:
Click Click Here to Start to begin the installation process.



Step 3:
Accept the License Agreement by clicking Next.


Step 4:
Click Next then turn off your computer, plug the Wireless-G PCI Adapter into an available PCI slot and restart your PC.



Step 5:
The Linksys Wireless Network Monitor should automatically appear.  Select the name of your wireless network or SSID and click Connect.  If you want to configure the adapter manually, click Manual Setup.  If the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor does not appear, you have to configure your adapter manually.  Click here for instructions.

NOTE:  To check if the drivers were properly installed, check if the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor reports that the Adapter is Active.  For instructions on how to do this, click here.
