Overview of the Linksys Velop Dashboard

The Linksys Velop dashboard is a snapshot of your Velop system and allows you to manage the devices connected to your Velop system.  The dashboard also shows you if any devices have Parental Controls on them or have been prioritized for Wi-Fi access.

You need to access the dashboard in order to make changes to your node's settings.  To learn how to do this, click here
 
Below is a brief overview of your Velop dashboard.

Internet
The Internet icon displays the node status as Online or Offline.

Devices
The Devices icon displays the total number of current clients that are connected to the Velop network.

Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi displays one Wi-Fi name (SSID) for the entire Velop tri-band network.

  • Tapping the SSID will take you to the Wi-Fi Settings page to make necessary wireless changes.
  • Tapping on the Share User-added image icon will generate a message to share your SSID and password via a Text Message, Email or Copy.

Guest Access
Guest Access allows you to share internet connection.  With it, guests can get online but can’t see or access other connected devices and files on the network.  You can turn Guest Access ON and OFF then give it a name and password.  You can even share Guest network credentials for your Guest clients via email or text message.

Parental Controls
Parental Controls is used to manage your kid’s internet use and block internet access on a connected device or of specific sites per device. 
 
When Parental Controls is ON and configured, you will have a toggle switch set to the ON position and your devices will appear in the Parental Controls section.  Toggle the switch to the OFF position to turn OFF the feature.

Device
Prioritization
The Device Prioritization screen allows you to choose up to three devices for priority usage of your internet connection.  Those devices – wired and/or wireless – will always have the best access when connected.

The Devices page gives you information on the different devices connected to your network and those that are offline.  Tap a device to view or edit specific device information.
