Connecting the AirPort Express®, AirPort Extreme® or AirPort Time Capsule® to your Velop network

Velop is an Intelligent Mesh WiFi System that outperforms traditional routers and range extenders giving you 100 percent seamless Wi-Fi experience.  The Velop system distributes full internet speed and is compatible with different networking devices such as the AirPort Express®, AirPort Extreme® or AirPort Time Capsule®.
 
This article will guide you on how to connect the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or AirPort Time Capsule to your Velop network.

Directions

Step 1:
Unplug all the cables from your Mac
® to disconnect it from the network.
 
Step 2:
Turn OFF your Mac’s Wi-Fi
by clicking on the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

IMPORTANT:  Make sure that you are not connected to another router or modem.

Step 3:
Using an ethernet cable, plug one end into one of the AirPort’s LAN port and plug the other end to your Mac.

Step 4:
Launch the Airport Utility.  Select the appropriate device and click edit.
 
Step 5:
Click Wireless.  Under Network Mode, select Off.  This will disable any Wi-Fi created by your AirPort® device.

Step 6:
Click Network.  Under Router Mode, select Off (Bridge Mode).

NOTE:  This will mean that your Velop, as the primary router, will assign the IP address to the network.
 
Step 7:
After changing the settings, click Update.  Your AirPort
 device will reboot to save the changes. 
 
Step 8:
You can now disconnect your Mac from your AirPort device.  Afterwards, reconnect your Mac to your Velop network.
 
Step 9:
Using an ethernet cable, connect your Velop to the WAN port of your AirPort device. 

Step 10:
Wait for your Velop to assign an IP address to your AirPort device. 

Congratulations!  You have
now connected the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or AirPort Time Capsule device to your Velop network.
