After setting up your Linksys wireless bridge or media connector, you will need to change its default administration password. This article will show you how to change the administration password of your Linksys wireless bridge or media connector.
NOTE: In this example, Linksys WES610N is used.
Step 1:
Access the web-based setup page of the wireless bridge or media connector. For instructions on how to do this, select the model number of your Linksys device:

Step 2:
On the web-based setup page, click Administration then click Management.
Step 3:
On the Management section, enter your new Device Password and Re-enter to confirm. Once done, click Save Settings.
QUICK TIP: To help you come up with a secure password for your device, you may follow the guidelines listed below.
A unique password must be:
- At least eight characters in length
- Any combination of letters and numbers in a random order
- Any words that are NOT found in the dictionary
Your device’s password has been changed. You should use the new password next time you access your Linksys wireless bridge or media connector’s web-based setup page.
QUICK TIP: It is recommended that you take note of your personalized administration password as there is no way to retrieve them once lost. You will need to reset your Linksys wireless bridge or media connector to factory defaults. For more details about resetting your device, click here.
