The Sony PlayStation®3 comes with a wireless adapter that allows you to connect to a wireless network and browse the Internet, play and download online games and many more.  If you are using a new wireless network or having trouble connecting wirelessly, you can delete the network settings on your PlayStation®3.  This will allow you to start from scratch and ensure that you are entering the right information on your device.

IMPORTANT:  Performing this process will clear all the console’s network settings and erase all the files saved on the PlayStation®3’s hard drive including music, photos and videos.

Step 1:
Go to Settings and select System Settings.

Step 2:
Select Restore Default Settings.

If you have multiple users set up on your PlayStation®3, select Restore PS3™ System instead.

Step 3:
You will see a list of all the settings set on your console that will be restored.  Press  button to confirm.

Step 4:
Select Yes to start the system restore process.

IMPORTANT:  This process will restore the console’s system software to its default settings.  This will delete all of the contents saved on the PlayStation®3’s hard disk.

Step 5:
Once you see the Restore completed. message, press the  button to restart your console.
