Firmware updates are bug fixes and functionality enhancements for the Linksys RE9000 MU-MIMO Range Extender. This product has an Auto Firmware Update feature which automatically updates the device whenever there is a new firmware available.
To upgrade your Linksys RE9000’s firmware, follow the steps below:

You should now have successfully upgraded the firmware of the Linksys RE9000.
To upgrade your Linksys RE9000’s firmware, follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Access the Linksys RE9000’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.
Step 2:
Under Administration, click on the Firmware Upgrade sub-tab. The Linksys RE9000 will automatically detect if there is a new firmware available.
Step 3:
You can proceed with the update once you see an Update now option in the web-based setup page. Otherwise, your Linksys RE9000’s firmware is up-to-date.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT turn OFF or press the Linksys RE9000’s reset button while it is performing the upgrade. Wait for the upgrade to finish.

NOTES:

If you would like for future firmware files to automatically update, select the Auto update checkbox. Click Save to finish.
- If you want to do a Manual update, ensure to first download the latest firmware file from the Linksys Support site. Then you can click the Select a file and Start Upgrade buttons to proceed with manually upgrading the firmware.
