How to disable ESET NOD32 Antivirus on a Windows® computer

Some antivirus applications may interfere with your Linksys router's installation.  In order to perform the setup without any interruption, temporarily disable your antivirus.  Once the installation is completed, you may then re-enable your computer's antivirus application.

This article will show you how to temporarily disable the ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

NOTE:  A computer running on Windows® XP and with ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 installed is used here as an example.
Step 1:
Double-click on the ESET NOD32 Antivirus icon located at the lower-right corner of your Windows Desktop.
Step 2:
Once the ESET NOD32 Antivirus window appears, select Setup on the left side.
Step 3:
Under the Setup section, click on the Temporarily disable Antivirus and antispyware protection option.
Step 4:
In the confirmation box that appears, click Yes.

NOTE:  If prompted to select the amount of time for which you want to disable protection, select your desired option from the drop-down list then click OK.

You should now have temporarily disabled the ESET NOD32 Antivirus.  Install your Linksys router successfully and after doing so, be sure to re-enable protection by clicking the Protection status User-added image icon then selecting Enable protection
