Configuring Port Range Forwarding using the Linksys app

The Port Range Forwarding feature allows you to set up public services on your network, such as web servers, FTP servers, email servers or other specialized Internet applications.  Configuring the Port Range Forwarding feature of your router is made easy using the Linksys app You can even set up Port Range Forwarding on your router remotely.
This article will guide you in configuring Port Range Forwarding using the app.  Before you start, make sure to check the following:
  • Write down the ports you need to forward.  Refer to your product documentation or contact your device manufacturer for details.
  • Write down the IP Address of the client you will need to configure Port Range Forwarding for.  Static IP Addresses should be assigned to the designated computers or servers before using the Port Range Forwarding feature.
Step 1:
On your mobile device, tap the Linksys app User-added image icon.
Step 2:
Log in to your Linksys cloud account.  For instructions, click here.
Step 3:
Tap the Menu icon (three bars).

Step 4:
Tap on Advanced Settings.

Step 5:
Tap on Port Settings.

Step 6:
Tap on Port Range Forwarding.

Step 7:
Tap on Add a rule.

Step 8:
Enter the details for the Rule Name, External Port, Internal Port, Device IP Address and Protocol.

NOTE:  You can also tap on Select a device to select a client that is already on your network.
Step 9:
Tap Save.

 QUICK TIP:  You can tap on the slider button to activate or deactivate the Rule you have configured.

You have now successfully configured the Port Range Forwarding feature of your router.
