This article will discuss some of the things that you can do if you are having problems in accessing the web-based setup page of a Linksys access point.
Resolving web-based setup page issues for wired connections
NOTE: These instructions are only applicable if the computer and the access point are hardwired to the router.
i. Connecting the Access Point to the router
Step 1:
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of the Linksys access point then the other end to one of the Ethernet ports of the Linksys wired router.

Once you are finished with connecting the needed devices, check the LEDs of the access point.
ii. Checking LEDs of the Access Point

iii. Pinging the IP Address of the Access Point

If you are still experiencing difficulties after the ping test, you may need to disable the proxy settings of your web browser.
iv. Disabling the Browser’s Proxy Settings
When the proxy server of your web browser is enabled, the IP address of your access point might not be recognized since it uses the IP address of your proxy server. Therefore, it is important to disable the browser’s proxy settings. For instructions, click here. For Mac users, click here.
