The Linksys app allows you to monitor and manage your Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Routers. With the Linksys app, you can access your home network anywhere, anytime.
This article will teach you how to set up Linksys EA series routers using an Android™ device. If you're using an iOS device, click here for instructions. For setting up your router using the Smart Setup Wizard, click here.
Before you begin:
NOTE: Images may vary depending on the device you are setting up. The steps below will show the set up of EA7500 v3.
Step 3:
When prompted to turn ON Bluetooth®, tap on I would rather set up without Bluetooth.
Step 4:
Tap Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Step 5:
Select Standard Wi-Fi Router when prompted.
Step 6:
Make sure you complete all the steps as instructed and tap Find My Router once done.

Step 8:
Check the boxes and select Next.
NOTE: If you want to manually configure your router, click the Manual configuration link at the bottom instead.
Step 9:
It is recommended to leave automatic updates turned on. You can always change this later from a desktop browser. Tap Next.
Step 10:
Customize your Wi-Fi settings then tap Next.
QUICK TIP: You can tap on Give all my Wi-Fi bands the same name if you want to use a single name for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

Create an admin password for your router in the field and create a password hint. Scroll down then tap Next.
Step 13:
Take note your router settings, scroll down then tap Next.
Step 15:
Enter your Email Address and Password then tap Log in. Tap Create an Email Login if you don't have an account.
Step 16:
Tap OK.
You should now have successfully set up your Linksys router.

- Have your Linksys default Wi-Fi name and password ready. The default Wi-Fi name and password of the router are located on the bottom of the router or in the quick start guide.
- Make sure your internet access is working.
- Power OFF your modem. If you are replacing an existing router, make sure to disconnect it and move it out of the way. After that, connect your modem to the internet port of your new router using an ethernet cable then plug the power adapter of both your modem and your new router.

Make sure to connect to your new Wi-Fi name when prompted. Setup will resume after connecting to your new Wi-Fi name. Then tap Next.

Create a Linksys server account by tapping Next. If you already have an account, tap Sign In instead.

You should now have successfully set up your Linksys router.
