Setting up the Linksys EA6350 v4

Setting up the Linksys EA6350 v4 R63 Dual-Band WiFi 5 Router is easy using the Smart setup wizard which comes with the router's firmware.

Before you begin, make sure to perform the following steps:
  • Power OFF the modem.
  • If you are replacing your existing router, make sure to disconnect it and move it out of the way.
  • Prepare the Linksys default Wi-Fi name and password.  You can find the router’s default Wi-Fi name and password in the quick start guide or at the bottom of the router.  For the 2.4 GHz radio, the label will display Linksysxxxxx where the xxxxx represents the last five characters of the router’s serial number.  For the 5 GHz radio, the default Wi-Fi name is Linksysxxxxx_5GHz.  The router will broadcast the two names, you can select any of the two Wi-Fi’s, preferably the 5 GHz if you see it on your device.  The same password applies for both.
