Getting to know the PLSK400

The PLSK400 is a Powerline kit that consists of one (1) PLE400 and one (1) PLS400.  These devices allow your computers and other wired devices to access the Internet as long as both Powerline adapters are plugged into the same electrical circuit.

The PLE400 is a Powerline device that has one (1) Ethernet port.  The PLS400 is a Powerline device that has four (4) Ethernet ports.  With these devices, you can create a Powerline network.

NOTE:  A Powerline network consists of at least two (2) Powerline devices that operate in the same electrical circuit.  It allows your computers and other wired devices to access the Internet.

You can use more than one (1) PLS400 to pair with your PLE400 if you wish to add more devices to your Powerline network.  However, your Internet connection may slow down as it is divided into more devices.  If you wish to connect multiple devices such as four (4) IP cameras, an alternative would be to use network switches.  For more information on switches, click here
