Connecting devices to the network using the WAP300N Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) feature

You can use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) feature of the WAP300N to easily connect wireless network devices to your network with just a push of a button.

NOTE:  The WPS feature is not available in the WAP300N's Wireless Bridge mode.

There are three (3) ways in using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ feature:

•  Pressing the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ button on each device
•  Entering the client device’s Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ PIN into the WAP300N
•  Entering the WAP300N’s Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ PIN onto the client device

Pressing the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) button on each device

Use this method if your client device has a WPS button or if it prompts you to press the WPS button on your WAP300N.

Step 1:
Locate and press the WPS  button of your WAP300N.

NOTE:  Alternatively, you can access your access point’s setup page and configure WPS from there by just clicking on the same WPS  button found on the first item.  To access your WAP300N’s web-based setup page, click here for instructions.

Step 2:
Click the WPS  button on the client device that you want to connect to the wireless network.

Step 3:
Click Close.

Step 1:
Access your access point’s web-based setup page.  To learn how, click here.

Step 2:
Click on the Wireless tab, then click Basic Wireless Settings.

Step 3:
Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup™.

Step 4:
Enter your client device’s PIN in the blank field then click the Register button.

Entering the WAP300N’s Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) PIN onto the client device

Use this method if your client device asks for the WAP300N’s PIN.

You can also find the WAP300N’s PIN at the bottom of the device together with the Serial No. and MAC Address information.
