- Upgrading the firmware on WGA600N (Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter)
To upgrade the firmware on the WGA600N, please follow the following steps:
NOTE: A firmware upgrade can't be performed from a wireless device.
Visit the download page from www.linksys.com and download the firmware upgrade file for WGA600N. Click here to learn how to download the firmware.
NOTE: Once the file has been downloaded, please make sure that the file is saved on your computer.
Open a browser such as Internet Explorer.
Go to the address bar and enter you Gaming Adapter's IP address ("192.168.1.250" is the default IP of Gaming Adapter) then press Enter.
NOTE: If you are unable to access the gaming adapter using this IP, you may try resetting the gaming adapter by pressing a paper clip into the "Reset" button on the back of the gaming adapter for 5 seconds. The default IP should then work.
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Enter your Gaming Adapter's username and password ("admin" is the default username and password), then click Log In.
The WGA600N's web-based utility page will be displayed. Click Tools tab and click Firmware.
Next, enter the location of the firmware file or click the Browse button to find the file that you have downloaded earlier.
Click the Upload button and follow the on-screen instructions to upload the firmware file once it has been located.
