Setting up a DDNS service on the Linksys WRT32X

A  Dynamic Domain Name System or DDNS service is a fixed domain name that is associated to your dynamic IP address which is easier to remember, especially when your dynamic IP address changes.  You can utilize your domain name to access certain devices remotely such as webcams, servers behind the router or even websites that you are hosting.  You will first need to register an account with a supported DDNS service before you configure your router’s DDNS settings.


This article will guide you on how to set up the DDNS service for your Linksys WRT32X.
 
Step 1:
Log in to the web interface.  For instructions, click here.
 
Step 2:
On the web interface, click Advanced Settings.

Click DDNS.

Step 4:
Toggle the Enable DDNS switch.

Step 5:
From the DDNS Service drop-down menu, select a DDNS service to use.

Step 6:
Enter your DDNS host name in the Host Name field and DDNS account credentials in the username and Password fields.

Step 7:
Click Save.

You have now set up your DDNS service for Linksys WRT32X.
