Encountering Difficulties Connecting Wirelessly Using a Wireless A/G Game Adapter

If you’re encountering difficulties connecting the Wireless A/G Game adapter to a wireless network, most likely it’s because you do not know the wireless settings or you have to configure the Game Adapter manually. Before connecting to the wireless network please know your router's SSID, Wireless Security and/or Network Key. If you do not know your wireless settings and you’re using a Linksys router, click  here. If not, consult the user guide or the manufacturer of your router for assistance. For instructions on how to configure the Game Adapter, please follow the directions below.

Setting-Up the Wireless A/G Game Adapter

Step 1:
Connect the Wireless Game Adapter to your router using an Ethernet cable. For instructions, click  here.

Step 2:
Access the Wireless A/G Game Adapter’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click  here.

Step 3:
When the Game Adapter’s setup page appears, look for the SSID field and enter the wireless network’s SSID.
NOTE: Check your wireless router SSID and make sure fill-in your SSID exactly the same with your wireless router.
 

Step 4:
Look for Network Type and select Infrastructure.

Step 5:
If WEP is not enabled on the wireless router, under Security, select Disabled then proceed to Step 10.

If WEP is enabled, under Security, select Enabled and click Edit Wireless Security then proceed to the step below.


NOTE: There are no WPA security features for Wireless A/G Game adapter. If your Linksys wireless router using WPA security features, please select Disabled in Security option.
 

Step 6:
When the WEP Encryption window appears, select the same Default Transmit Key as your router’s. In this example, we selected 1.

Step 7:
Select the same WEP Encryption level either 64Bit(10 hex digits) or 128Bit(26 hex digits). In this example we selected 64Bit(10 hex digits).

Step 8:
Enter the wireless network’s WEP Key based on the Default Transmit Key selected. Since we selected Key 1, we’ll enter the WEP Key in the Key 1 field.

Step 9:

Click .

Step 10:
When the Setup page appears, scroll down then click Refresh and select your wireless network’s SSID.

Step 11:
Once your SSID is selected, click Connect.
