Encountering wireless Internet connectivity issues when connected to a Linksys gateway

This article will guide you on what to do if you encounter wireless connectivity issue when connected to a Linksys gateway.

Check the IP address of the computer

Check the wireless settings of the Linksys gateway

It is important that you take note of your Linksys gateway’s wireless settings.  These settings are needed to connect your wireless devices to your network.  To know how to check the wireless settings of your gateway, click here.  To check the settings using the Linksys Connect software, click here.

Check the browser’s proxy settings

If you have proxy settings, you need to disable these on your computer.  If a computer is accompanied by a gateway for the Internet connection, it no longer needs to get any proxy settings to gain access.

Ping the gateway
