How to configure VLAN on a Linksys Wi-Fi Router, E8350 for Singtel

Follow the steps below to learn how to configure Virtual LAN (VLAN) on a Linksys Wi-Fi Router, E8350 for Singtel Internet Service Provider (ISP):
 
IMPORTANT:  Before you start, you need to have the updated firmware on your router to enable VLAN and priority bit support for Singtel.  To download the updated firmware, click here.  For instructions on how to upgrade the firmware on your router, click here.    
 
Step 1:
Access the router’s web-based setup page.  To learn how, click here.  If you’re using a Mac® computer, click here.  If you have Linksys Connect installed, click here.
 
Step 2:
Once you’re in the router’s web-based setup page, click the VLAN Setup sub-tab.
 
 
Step 3:
Enter “10” as the Trunk VID in the VLAN ID field.
 
 
Step 4:
In the same row, select Tagged under Internet.  Then, tick the Enable checkbox.
 
 
Step 5:
In the next row, enter “30” as the Port VID in the VLAN ID field.  Then, enter “mioVoice” in the empty field.
 
 
Step 6:
In the same row, select Tagged under Internet, then select Tagged under Port 3.  Once done, click the Enable checkbox.
 
 
Step 7:
In the next row, enter “20” as the Port VID in the VLAN ID field.  Then, enter “mioTV” in the empty field.
 
 
Step 8:
In the same row, select Tagged under Internet, then select Untagged under Port 4.  Once done, tick the Enable checkbox.
 
 
NOTE:  Leave the other drop-down boxes as Excluded.
 
Step 9:
Click Save Settings.
 
You should now have successfully configured VLAN on a Linksys Wi-Fi Router, E8350 for Singtel.
