Installing the Bluetooth Software

Before connecting the adapter to your computer’s USB port, you must install the Bluetooth Software, which will install everything your system needs to use the adapter. Once the Bluetooth Software is installed, you will be able to connect the adapter to your computer.

Installing the Bluetooth Software

Step 1:
Insert the CD-ROM into your computer. When the main menu appears, click the Install  icon.

NOTE: The Bluetooth USB Adapter Setup Wizard only supports the Windows XP platform. Linksys does not support on any Windows Vista platform, neither 32-Bit nor 64-Bit.

Alternatively, for those who are using Windows Vista OS, you can download the MSI WIDCOMM driver for your Bluetooth USB adapter. Remember, before installing any driver make sure to remove the entire driver that has been previously installed.

Step 2:
Once the welcome screen appears, click Next.

Step 3:
On the License Agreement screen, select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.

Step 4:
On the Destination Folder screen, click Next to install the utility on the specified location.

Step 5:
Click Install to begin the installation process.

Step 6:
Read the Driver Signature Notice notification and click OK.

Step 7:
Read the Software Installation notification and click Continue Anyway.

Step 8:
You will be notified once the installation completes. Click Finish to exit.

You will now be able to connect the adapter to your computer once the Bluetooth  icon is present at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
