Overview of the Linksys MR8300 Dashboard

The dashboard is a snapshot of your Linksys MR8300 Mesh WiFi Router, AC2200, MU-MIMO.  It allows you to see the devices that are connected to your mesh Wi-Fi.  The dashboard also shows you if any devices are configured with Parental Controls or Device Prioritization.

To access the Linksys MR8300 dashboard, log in to the Linksys app using your Linksys cloud account for remote access or your router administrator password for local connection.  After successfully logging in, you will see the dashboard.

The Internet icon displays if the node is online or offline.

The Devices icon displays the total amount of clients that are connected to the network.

 NOTE:  The dashboard will display if the router is in bridge mode.

The Wi-Fi displays one Wi-Fi name for the entire Linksys MR8300 network.

Tapping on the Wi-Fi name will take you to the Wi-Fi Settings page to make the necessary wireless changes.
Tapping on the Share User-added image icon allows you to copy the Wi-Fi name and password or to share it via text message or email.

Guest Access

Guest Access allows you to configure your guest’s Wi-Fi settings:
  • Toggle the switch to turn ON or OFF the guest network.
  • There is only one guest network name for the tri-band guest network
  • It is highly recommended to create a new guest network name, along with your custom guest password that you can share with guest clients.
  • Tap on the Share User-added image icon to share the guest network credentials.
Parental Controls

Tap the plus sign beside Parental Controls to configure it.
  • When you have configured Parental Controls for your devices, the toggle switch will be on the ON position and your devices will appear in the Parental Controls section.

  • Toggle the switch to the off position to turn OFF Parental Controls for ALL devices.
NOTE:  If the router is in bridge mode the Parental Controls section will be greyed out.

Tap the plus sign next to Device Prioritization to configure it.  You can select up to three devices to prioritize.

When Device Prioritization is configured, you will see your selected devices on the dashboard.

NOTE:  If the router is in bridge mode the Device Prioritization section will be greyed out.
