How to enable VLAN tagging on your Linksys Cloud Manager

This article will walk you through setting up VLAN tagging on your Linksys Cloud Manager in the following scenarios:

If your Management VLAN is untagged on your Linksys VPN router or switch
If your Management VLAN is tagged on your Linksys VPN router or switch


If your Management VLAN is untagged on your Linksys VPN router or switch

Step 1:
Access your Cloud account.  For instructions, click here. 

NOTE:  For instructions on how to create a Cloud account for your Linksys Business Cloud Access Points, click here.

Step 2:
Select a network and click Access Points in the top blue bar.

Step 3:
Select the access point you would like to configure.

Step 4:
Click TCP/IP > Edit.

Step 5:
Enable VLAN Tagging by selecting the Enable option from the drop-down menu.  Leave it on the default setting which is 1.  This step will automatically enable the Untagged VLAN section and default to the 1 setting.

NOTE:  The steps above should be done across all networks where VLAN tagged Wireless SSIDs will be applied.

Step 6:
Click Save then click Confirm.

Step 7:
On the same network, click SSIDs in the top blue bar.

IMPORTANT:  To prevent making changes to the wrong network, make sure to select the correct name from the list.  As shown in the image above, the network's name will appear on the top of the page beside the Linksys logo.

Step 8:
Click the Settings button alongside the SSID you want to configure.

Step 9:
Click VLAN under Wireless Settings.

Step 10:
Toggle the sliding switch to the right of VLAN Tagging, enter your preferred VLAN ID, then click Save.

NOTE:  In the example below, the VLAN ID 101 is used.

On the succeeding wireless networks, repeat Steps 8 - 10.  However, make sure to assign a different VLAN ID for each network.  In the example below, VLAN ID 102 is used for the second wireless network.

Step 5:
Enable VLAN Tagging by selecting the Enable option from the drop-down menu.  Once it has been enabled, enter your Management VLAN into the field.

Enter a non-existent VLAN ID into the Untagged VLAN section.  In the example below, 100 is used.
