Light behavior of the Linksys RE7000

The table below describes the light colors and activities for every connection status of the Linksys RE7000 Max-Streamâ„¢ AC1900+ Wi-Fi Extender.
 
Power LightStatus / Description
Blinking Green
  • Starting up
  • Resetting to factory defaults
  • Upgrading the firmware
Solid Green
  • Ready to use
Solid Orange
  • Weak connection with the router
Fix:  Unplug the range extender, and move it closer to the router.
Blinking Orange
  • If the range extender was previously setup - Not connected to the router or other error
  • If the range extender is on factory defaults - Ready for setup
Fix: 
1.  Make sure your router has an internet connection and Wi-Fi is turned ON.
2.  If the router has no problem, unplug the range extender then move it closer to the router.  Plug it back in and wait for 1 minute before you reconnect to the network

Wi-Fi Protected Setupâ„¢ (WPS) LightStatus / Description
Orange
  • Pairing mode
  • If th​​​​e light is OFF, the WPS is not in use.
Ethernet LightStatus / Description
GreenAn ethernet device is connected and active.  The light blinks when the range extender is sending or receiving data over the ethernet port.
