Directions
 
Step 1:
Power ON the node and wait for the light to turn solid purple.

Step 2:
Open the Linksys app and tap on Launch setup. 



Step 3:        
Tap on Whole Home Mesh WiFi (Velop).



Step 4:                 
You might be prompted to turn ON your Bluetooth® connection, tap on OK.  If you’d rather set up the node without Bluetooth, click on I would rather set up without Bluetooth.  You will need to connect your mobile device to the default WiFi name/password located on the bottom of the node.



Step 5:
If you haven’t powered ON your node, you can do it now and tap on Next.  Follow the rest of the wiring steps.











Step 6:
If the light on your node has started to flash purple tap on Yes, It’s Blinking Purple; otherwise tap on No, It’s Not Blinking Purple for further instructions.

If you have other nodes powered ON with purple lights, turn them OFF for now until the parent node is set up.



Step 7:
The node will start checking for internet connection.





If an internet connection is not detected especially for PPPoE connections or if you have a Static WAN IP address, you will be prompted to check the wiring.  



If a connection is still not found, you will receive the following screen below.  Click on the Do you have ISP settings to enter? link, select your internet connection, and provide the required information.





Step 8:
Create a Linksys cloud account or click Log in here to enter your existing credentials.



Step 9:
The node will be linked to your Linksys cloud account.



Step 10:
Create a name and password for your home WiFi.  Tap Next.



Step 11:
Connect your device to the WiFi then tap Next.



Step 12:
Select the name that best describes the location of the node and tap Next.  If you want to customize the name, tap Name it something else.



Step 13:
On the Success! screen, tap Next.



Step 14:
If you have another node, tap Add a Node; otherwise, tap on That's it for Now.  You can always add nodes from within the Linksys app after setting up the parent node.  For instructions, click here.



Step 15:
Future updates will happen overnight automatically and will only take a few minutes.  Tap Next.



Step 16:
You have now successfully set up your parent node.  You may now connect your devices to your new WiFi.  If you want to check the features and settings of your mesh WiFi, tap Go to Dashboard.
