Some DSL Internet Service Providers (ISPs) use Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) Authentication to establish Internet connection with their end-users. This article will guide you in setting up the router’s PPPoE feature.
NOTE: This article assumes that you already have the username and the password for your DSL Internet connection. For more information, click here.
Step 1:
Access the router’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click here. If you’re using a Mac® computer, click here instead.
Step 2:
On the Setup tab, click the drop-down arrow for Internet Connection Type then select PPPoE.
Step 3:
Enter the Username and the Password for your DSL Internet connection.
Step 4:
Select Keep Alive.
Step 5:
Click Save Settings.
Step 6:
Click the Status tab.
Step 7:
Verify that the Connection Type is PPPoE then click Connect.
