· Enabling Wireless Zero Configuration

Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) is a utility that manages the wireless connection functionality of Windows XP computers.  However, some wireless computers use its wireless adapter’s utility to manage its wireless connection.  This creates wireless connection problems as these two utilities may conflict with each other.  In case this happens, disable your wireless adapter’s utility and enable WZC instead.

This article will guide you on how to enable WZC on your Windows XP computers.

Step 1:
Click on the Start button and select Run

Step 2:
On the Open field, enter "services.msc" then click OK.

Step 3:
On the Services (Local) window, select Wireless Zero Configuration among the list and check options at the left hand side of the screen.  If the option says Stop the service, it means the service is already enabled.  Otherwise, click Start the service.

You should now be able to connect your computer to the wireless network using WZC.
