Speed Check is a helpful feature that measures the download (from the internet) and upload (to the internet) speeds of your WiFi. It is a good way to find out if you are getting the level of service from your internet service provider (ISP). Internet connection speeds can vary depending on a variety of factors, including ISP account type, local and worldwide internet traffic, and the number of devices in your home that are sharing the internet connection, and what those devices are doing.
