IMPORTANT: The hardware version is located beside or beneath the model number and is labeled version, ver. or V. If there is no version number beside the model number on your Linksys product, the device is version 1.
Go to the Linksys support site and enter the model number of your Linksys device in the Search by Product Name or Model Number field.
Click on Get Support.
Click the DOWNLOADS / FIRMWARE button. For ethernet and wireless adapters, you need to download the driver. For devices such as routers, gateways, and network access storage, you need to download the firmware.
Select the correct hardware version of your device to display all the available downloads.

Click the Download link.
Save the file to a preferred location on the computer. If the firmware is a .zip file, locate and unzip it to extract the file. For instructions, click here.
