Checking the MAC Address of the WUMC710

Access to your wireless home network can be filtered to allow or disallow select devices by using the Media Access Control (MAC) Address of the wireless device.  The MAC address is a string of number that consists of 12 characters that is unique to each device.

MAC Filtering is a security feature of your Linksys device that can either prevent or allow specific MAC Addresses to be connected to your wireless router.  If your Linksys router is configured with this feature, you will need to enter the WUMC710’s MAC Address into its MAC Filter table.
