Setting up the Wi-Fi MAC Filters feature using the Linksys app

The Wi-Fi MAC Filters option of the Linksys app is a security feature that either allows or blocks specific MAC Addresses from connecting to your wireless network.

To configure the Wi-Fi MAC Filters feature, follow the steps below.
 
Step 1:
On your mobile device, tap the Linksys app.
 
Step 2:
Log in to the Dashboard with your Linksys cloud account or you can also tap on Log in with Router Password.  For complete instructions on how to access your Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router using the app, click here.

Step 3: 
Tap the Menu User-added image icon on the top-left side of the Dashboard. 

Step 4: 
Tap Advanced Settings and select Wi-Fi MAC Filters.

Step 5:
Tap User-added image at the top-right corner of the screen to update or change the Wi-Fi MAC Filters settings.

 
Step 6:
Tap Wi-Fi MAC Filter Status to select which filter to use.

If you choose to disable this feature, tap Off and Save to apply the changes.

Allow Access
 
Only MAC Addresses in the list are allowed to join the network.  Enter the MAC Address of the wireless device you want to allow access, then tap Add a Rule.  Alternatively, you may tap on the Select from device list option.  Make sure to tap Save at the top-right corner of the screen.

Deny Access
 
All MAC Addresses except those in the list are allowed to join the network.  Enter the MAC Address of the device you want to deny access, then tap Add a Rule.  Alternatively, you may tap on the Select from device list option.  Make sure to tap Save at the top-right corner of the screen.
