Setting up the Linksys LAPAC2600 Wireless Access Point using the Quick Start Wizard
The Linksys LAPAC2600 Wireless Access Point is an 802.11ac dual-band, 4x4 MU-MIMO access point. It provides continuous and high-speed access between wireless and Ethernet devices. The access point enables wireless local area network (WLAN) deployment while providing state-of-the-art wireless networking features.
This article will guide you on how to set up your Linksys LAPAC2600 using the Quick Start Wizard.
Step 2:
Open a web browser and enter the IP address of your Linksys LAPAC2600. Your router will automatically assign an IP address on the access point once you connect it via Ethernet cable.
Step 4:
Select the Quick Start tab and click the Launch… button.
Step 5:
Enter a new administrative User Name, AP Password and Re-enter to Confirm in the fields provided. Then, click Next.
Step 6:
Configure the system settings as needed and click Next.
Step 8:
Enter your preferred wireless network name (SSID) in the SSID Name field and click Next.
Step 9:
Enter your wireless Security key or Passphrase in the Pre-shared Key field and click Next.
Step 10:
Review your wireless settings and click Submit.
Step 11:
You have now successfully set up your Linksys LAPAC2600 as an access point. Click Finish.

NOTE: If no DHCP server is detected, the access point defaults to 192.168.1.252. Using a computer, you can directly access the Linksys LAPAC2600 by assigning a static IP within the access point's default IP address range.
