The access point’s Fast Roaming (802.11r) mechanism minimizes the delay when a voice client transitions from one Basic Service Set (BSS) to another within the same Extended Service Set (ESS). This feature is only operational if the wireless client supports the 802.11r standard.
Follow the steps below to know how to enable the 802.11r feature of your Linksys LAPAC2600 access point:

Select WPA2-Personal or WPA2-Enterprise as your Security Mode.
NOTE: Only when selecting WPA2-Personal or WPA2-Enterprise will you have the Fast Roaming (802.11r) option available.
Step 4:
Configure the Security Settings of your wireless network.
Step 5:
Tick the Fast Roaming (802.11r) box to enable the 802.11r feature and click the Save button.
