Overview of the Advanced Settings of the Linksys WRT32X

The Advanced Settings feature of your Linksys WRT32X AC3200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Gaming Router with Killer Prioritization Engine allows you to access and configure the more advanced features of your router.  

NOTE:  This feature can be accessed by clicking on Advanced Settings on the left side of the screen.  For instructions on how to access the web interface of the Linksys WRT32X, click here.

Port Forwarding

Port Forwarding rules send traffic from specific ports or ranges of ports to specific connected devices.  To learn more about this feature, click here.

Static IP Reservations

To reserve an IP address for a device, simply choose a device and enter an IP address to reserve.  You can choose a connected device by its name or MAC address.  To learn more about this feature, click here.

VPN Client

The VPN client feature allows your WRT32X to route its traffic through a VPN server.  You will need to import one .ovpn file and then enter your OVPN username and password.  To learn more about this feature, click here.

External Storage

The External Storage feature allows the user to easily manage an external USB hard drive connected to it.  To learn more about this feature, click here.

DDNS

Dynamic DNS (DDNS) is a method of automatically updating a name server in the Domain Name System (DNS), often in real time, with the active DDNS configuration of its configured hostnames, addresses or other information.  To learn more about this feature, click here.

Local Network Settings

Advanced users can change their local network settings to meet their specific needs.  To learn more about these options, click here.

Internet Connection Settings

This Internet Connection Settings screen allows you to make changes to your internet connection type and the option to configure your DNS settings.
