Linksys Cloud Manager: Access Points main page overview

The Linksys Business Dual-Band Cloud Access Points distribute secure Wi-Fi connection to different networks and provide cloud management features so you can monitor your networks from anywhere at any time.
 
The Access Points page has a main page and a settings page.  The main page displays a list of all your Linksys Business Cloud Access Points in the network.  The settings page allows you to configure and monitor a specific access point's status or performance.  For instructions on how to do this, click

IMPORTANT:
  • This article is only for access points being managed by (Cloud Manager 1.0) https://business.linksys.com/.  Visit the online documentation to learn more about the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.
  • Before making any changes, make sure you are in the correct network by checking the top-left section of the page to prevent from configuring access points in other locations.

Add access point


Follow these steps to add an access point.

 
Step 1:
Access your Cloud account.  For instructions, click here. 

Step 2:
On the Networks page, select a network from the list then click the Access Points tab.

Step 3:
Click Add new access point.

NOTE:  If you have previously added an access point, you will see the Add access point button instead.

Step 4:
Enter the MAC address and serial number of the access point and then click Save

NOTE:  Your access point should be online before it can be added to the Cloud. 
 
Step 5:
Once the access point has been found, you can rename it then click the Add access point button.  You can add an unlimited number of access points to a network.

NOTE:  You also have the option of adding an access point from Inventory.
 
 
Access points list
 
The access points list is available when you go to the Networks page, select a network then click the Access Points tab.  The first column displays all the access points in a network.

  •  Sorting the access points - By clicking on the arrow icon, you can sort the access points by Name, Status, Date Added, Clients, Traffic, and Load.  
  • Online/Offline status - Green dots indicate online access points and red dots indicate offline access points. 
  • Checkbox - Click the checkbox to do any of the following:
    • Move – moves the selected access point to Inventory.  All data and settings in the device will be lost.  To do this step, click the checkbox > Move > Confirm.
    • Delete – deletes the selected access point from the network.  This needs to be done if you are replacing or returning the access point (i.e. RMA) or if you will no longer use the access point.  To do this, click the checkbox > Delete > Delete

Clients
 
The Clients column displays the number of clients connected to the access point.

Traffic
 
The Traffic column displays the current traffic per access point.

Load
 
This displays the access point load.  You can click on an access point to check the load.

  • Click the ellipsis User-added image icon of an access point to display the Reboot, RenameMove to inventory, and Delete options.
  • Click Reboot > Reboot to restart the access point.  
  • Click Rename to enter a new name for the access point.  Click Confirm to save your changes.
  • Click Move to inventory Move to move an access point to Inventory. 
  • Click Delete > Delete to permanently delete an access point from the Cloud.
