The Linksys E2500 N600 Dual-Band WiFi 4 Router is a dual-band router that lets you enjoy the power of Wi-Fi technology.  It delivers enhanced speed, range and security for all your networking needs.  With N600 speeds, you'll be able to swiftly stream HD videos, surf, email, play games online and chat.

NOTE:  This article is for the Linksys E2500 v4.  The version number is noted on the product label at the bottom of the router.

The reset button is located at the bottom of the Linksys E2500.  If you need to reset it, hold it down for 10 seconds.  Then from a wireless device wait for the default Wi-Fi name to appear to begin setting up the router.

3.  What is the data rate of the Linksys E2500?

The PHY data rate is up to 300 Mbps for the 2.4 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps for the 5 GHz band.

Beamforming Technology is a radio wave technology that allows a router to transmit radio signal in the direction of the connected devices, thus creating a stronger, faster and more reliable Wi-Fi communication.

5.  What wireless security types does the Linksys E2500 support?

The Linksys E2500 supports WPA2™ Personal and WPA2 Enterprise.
 
TROUBLESHOOTING
 
You can reset the Linksys E2500 to factory defaults through the router’s web interface or the reset button.  To learn how, click here.
 
From a wireless computer, wait until the default Wi-Fi name appears before beginning setup again.
 
Plug the router to a power source.  Then, connect the modem to the WAN port or a computer to a LAN port using an ethernet cable.  The connected port will light up which indicates the router’s activity.
