Are malicious websites easy to spot?

Not always.  Online actors, looking to make a mess of your WiFi and connected devices, are clever and try to trick their way in.  A common approach is dressing up their malicious software as downloads you need to watch like a video or read something you've requested.  Another tactic is promising to install a legitimate program but installing something else that compromises your WiFi.

If a website is incorrectly being blocked as malicious, you may check it in Trend Micro's
Site Safety Center.  Enter the URL and check Trend Micro’s safety rating.

What types of malicious websites does Network Security help protect me from?

Ransomware
A site that directly or indirectly facilitates the distribution of ransomware.
Phishing
A fraudulent site that mimics legitimate sites to gather sensitive information, such as usernames and passwords.
Spyware
A site with downloads that gather and transmit data from computers owned by unsuspecting users.
