The Guest Access feature allows you to create a separate network for your guests without allowing them to access your main network and the computers connected to it.
Before connecting, make sure you have the following:
- Guest Wi-Fi name
- Guest Wi-Fi key or password
To learn how to check the Guest Wi-Fi password using the Linksys Connect software, click here.
NOTE: The Guest Access feature is only available to all Linksys Wi-Fi Routers, Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Routers, and the Linksys X-series Gateways.
Step 1:
On your Home Screen, tap Settings.
Step 2:
Select Wi-Fi.
NOTE: If the Wi-Fi feature is OFF, toggle the Wi-Fi switch to activate it.
Step 3:
On the right navigation panel, tap on the Guest network that you want to connect to.
NOTE: The Wi-Fi name of the Guest network will have a “–guest” suffix in addition to the Wi-Fi name of the main network. The Guest network will appear as an unsecured network in the list of available Wi-Fi. However, once you connect to your Guest network a new window will appear requiring you to enter your Guest password before you can access the internet.
Step 4:
Enter your Password and then tap LOGIN.
Step 5:
Tap Done.
Step 6:
Press the Home button to exit the Settings screen.
NOTE: Once connected to the network, you should see a solid Airport icon on the upper-left corner of your iPad®. To learn how to check your router’s wireless settings using an iPad, click here.
You should now have successfully connected to your Guest network.
