How to set up the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router as Bridge Mode

Select the Bridge mode to use the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router as a wireless access point instead of a router.  Make sure that you connect this router’s internet port to the ethernet or LAN port on the router that is connected to your modem.

Before you begin:
  • Configure your wireless settings first on the Linksys E5350
  • Change the default admin password on the Linksys E5350 
 
Step 1:
Log in to the Linksys Dual-Band WiFi Router web interface and skip the setup if prompted by clicking Cancel.  For instructions, click here.
 
Step 2:
Click the Configuration tab.

Step 3:
Click Connectivity.

Step 4:
Click WAN Setup.

Step 5:
In the WAN Setup page, click the Bridge Mode option.  By default, Automatic Configuration - DHCP is selected.

Step 6:
You can either choose Automatically obtain an IP address or Specify an IP address.  The Router Name is provided but can also be modified.

NOTE:  If you opt to Specify an IP address, enter the appropriate IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway for the Linksys router.

Step 7:
Click Save.
 
You have successfully set your router to Bridge mode.
