Recovering the admin password of your Linksys Intelligent Mesh

During setup, a secured system generated admin password will be created to secure your node.  For security reasons, this password will not be visible.  You must change this password by logging into your Linksys app through the Linksys cloud account you created or used during setup.  If the Linksys cloud is down, or you can’t log in using your admin password, you can use the recovery method.  To recover your Linksys cloud account password, click here.

The steps below will provide instructions on how to recover the admin password.  However, if you can log in using your Linksys cloud account, you can simply change the admin password in the Linksys app.  Click here for instructions.

 

Directions

NOTE:   Steps and images may vary depending on the operating system of your mobile device.  In the examples below, iOS is used.

Step 1:  
Connect your mobile device to your router's WiFi then open the Linksys app.

Step 2:
For iOS, tap Manage Your Wi-Fi. 

NOTE:  For Android, tap Log in.

Step 3:
Tap on Router Password. 

NOTE:  For Android, tap Use Router Password.

Step 4:
Tap Reset password and enter the five-digit recovery code located on the product label shown at the bottom of ANY of the nodes that are part of your network.

Step 5:
Tap Continue.

Step 6:
Enter a new admin password and an optional password hint.  Once done, tap Submit.

Wait until settings have been applied.

You will then be redirected to the dashboard.
