Setting up the Linksys EA9350 using the Smart Setup Wizard

This article will guide you on how to set up the Linksys EA9350 Max-Stream AX4500 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router.

Before you begin, make sure to perform the following steps:
  • Power OFF the modem.
  • If you are replacing your existing router make sure to disconnect it and move it out of the way.
  • Write down your default Wi-Fi name and password located on the bottom of the router.  The default Wi-Fi name is LinksysXXXXX, where XXXXX is the last five digits of the serial number.   
 
Follow the steps below to set up the Linksys EA9350.

Step 1:
Position the antennas straight up and power ON your router.
 
Step 2:
Power ON the modem.  Then, connect the ethernet cable from the modem to the internet port of your Linksys EA9350.

Step 3:
Wait until the power light is solid blue on the router.
 
Step 4:
Connect your computer to the default Wi-Fi of the Linksys EA9350.  The Wi-Fi name and password are located on the bottom of the router.

NOTE:  You will see two Wi-Fi names if your wireless client supports 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz radios.  You can connect to either one of them and use the same Wi-Fi password.
 
Step 5:
Launch your web browser and enter "https://linksyssmartwifi.com" in the Address bar then press [Enter].

NOTE:  If you are unable to launch the Smart Setup, you can also use “myrouter.local” or “http://192.168.1.1” (the default IP address of the router).


Step 6: 
Check the box beside I have read and accepted the License Terms for using this software then click Next to proceed.  

QUICK TIP:  If you need to bypass the setup wizard click on the Manual configuration link on the bottom left side.

Step 7:
In the Updates for your router window, the Install future router updates automatically (recommended) is checked by default to allow automatic updates.  You can uncheck it to control when to perform an update.  You can also enable this option again after you log in to the router's web-based setup page.  Click Next to proceed.

Step 8:
Enter your desired Wi-Fi Name and Wi-Fi Password in the fields provided then click Next.

Step 9:
Once your settings have been saved, you will be prompted to connect to your new Wi-Fi.  Connect to the new Wi-Fi name then click the Next button.

Step 10:
Once you are connected to your new Wi-Fi, the Next button on the Connect to MyHome page will become available.  Click Next to proceed.  

Step 11:
Create a router password and an optional password hint to help you remember your router password in the future.

Step 12:
Your router is set up!  On this screen, you will see all your current router settings.  Write them down or print out this page for future use. 
Click Next to complete the entire setup.

Step 13:
Your Wi-Fi should now be working.  You can now create a Linksys cloud account to get access to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Tools and the Linksys app to manage and enjoy your home network.  For instructions on how to create a Linksys cloud account, click here.  If you already have an account, click the Sign In link instead.
 
You have now successfully set up your Linksys EA9350 using the Smart Setup Wizard.
