Overview of the Network menu of the Linksys 5G Mobile Hotspot

The Network menu of the Linksys 5G Mobile Hotspot's web interface lets you configure the Mobile Settings, WiFi Settings, LAN Settings and Advanced Settings of your device.  To access this menu, log in to the mobile hotspot's web interface.  For instructions, click here.  Then, tap on the menu icon and go to Network.

Settings
Description
Mobile Settings

The Mobile Settings page provides the following information:
  • Signal Strength
  • Date
  • Current Time
  • Connection Time
  • IP Address
  • Gateway
  • Primary DNS Server
  • Secondary DNS Server
  • Phone number

Data Network Type

This page also provides the option to change the Data Network Type.  To do so, tap on Edit then tap on the dropdown menu and select your preferred setting.  Tap Save when you’re done.

Options:
  • 5G Priority Mode
  • LTE Priority Mode

APN Settings

This section lets you edit your APN settings manually as provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Data Roaming

Toggle the button to enable or disable Data roaming.  This is disabled by default.

WiFi Settings
 
The WiFi Settings page lets you update the WiFi credentials of your mobile hotspot.  To know more, click here.
 
LAN Settings
 
The LAN Settings lets you edit the following settings:
 
  • IP Address
  • Subnet Mask
  • DHCP Server
  • DHCP Range
  • DHCP Lease Time
Tap on Edit to update this page.  Once done, tap on Save.

Advanced Settings
 
The Advanced Settings page contains the UPnP IGD, Port Forwarding, DMZ and NAT Type settings.

For the UPnP IGD feature, only devices that support UPnP® IGD (Internet Gateway Device) can be tethered to the mobile hotspot.  This is disabled by default.

For Port Forwarding, tap the arrow to view more information and the edit options.  

In the example below, there are three ports that are set.  Tap the Edit option of the port you want to delete or configure.  To add another port, tap on Add new port.

Once you are done editing, tap on Save.  If you opt to delete the port settings, tap on Delete.

For the DMZ settings, tap on Edit to enable or disable the feature and enter the IP Address of the DMZ device.  Tap Save when you are done.  This is disabled by default.

Choose your preferred NAT Type:
 
  • Open
  • Moderate
  • Strict (default)
